Bullies we are

Have you ever taken a shower?

Well, I guess you had, even just once in your whole life.

And while you were taking a shower, a cockroach comes out of the drainage and is about to crawl on your foot. Before this happens, what do you do?

You step on it. You kill it before it gets near you.

But what if that cockroach just wants to take a look at the light? Somewhere down there, it was something he just wanna do. All his life, he just wants to take a glimpse of the light. Every time he gets to your toilet bowl, you flush him in. But he is a super determined cockroach, so he tries to get up again. And after some days, weeks or maybe months, he finally made it to the surface. And the first thing he sees is you, naked, and a couple of seconds later, the next thing he sees is your slipper crushing him.

Why did you do that?

Because it’s JUST a cockroach. It’s inferior to you.

And because you can do it.

Isn’t that the same with God and you?

You are JUST human. You are inferior to Him.

And God has the power to do everything.

But He doesn’t use His power just to make fun of us. He doesn’t use His power because He just wants to.

God is powerful. YES.

but He is not a bully.

What It's Like

College is definitely different from high school.

In high school,

1. I don't need to ride a jeepney and spend 6.50 to get to my next class.
2. I don't have to commute to go to school and to get back home. Mang Rudy's always there.
3. I don't have to choose what clothes to wear.
4. It's okay to leave my things anywhere.
5. I have a locker to leave my heavy bags, books, burdens, etc.
6. I have all my classmates to go to my next class with me.
7. I always have my ever-dependable classmates for notes, homeworks, seatworks and all the works.

But at least in college,

1. I don't have classes on Wednesdays.
2. I don't have to wake up 5 in the morning since my class starts at 9am on Mondays and Thursdays and 10am on Tuesdays and Fridays.
3. I can kwekkwek anytime ;)
4. I met more people and friends.
5. I learned to value coins.
6. I learned how to prioritize and manage my time well.
7. I learned how to be independent somehow in my studies and responsibilities. (gasgas na. pero once you knew that you are, you'll be proud of yourself)




College is different. Very different from high school. College is not that bad. It's fun actually.

But still, I miss my high school friends! :(
