I promised myself to do my best to get at least 7 hours of sleep everyday. Apparently, after doing my homeworks and school stuffs, it's time for me to sleep. And I don't get to go OL :( That's why I'm always looking forward to Fridays! And Comm3! :P
I also promised to blog about this one. Comm3 is so good, it deserves a blog entry. woot woot~
We had this activity/homework. It's called the 10-7-5, and it goes like this:
You have to list down 10 individuals who have greatly influenced you,
7 unforgettable/life-changing experiences and
5 critical choices/decisions you made so far.
Considering this was only a "homework", I didn't take it seriously. I even put "
I decided to go to school today even if I feel sick" in the 5 critical choices made. I mean, something like "
I decided to have plastic surgery" could have been more "critical". I dunno. (HEY I DIDN'T HAVE PLASTIC SURGERY. It's only an example haha) I mean, I should've thought of something in the "critical" level. Well, I just crammed this homework, so what do you expect?
BUT! The point is, when I got to share my 10-7-5 thingy with my groupmates, they listened as if my choices were really critical and my experiences were really life-changing. I realized that they really are. And I felt the same when my groupmates shared theirs (even how
mababaw it seems). I love Comm3! It brings out the best in us :) It made me realize that small things really have an impact on everything. AS IN EVERYTHING. I just remembered, I already shared this during a YFC household meeting last year, it's just more elaborated now.
You should try the 10-7-5 activity. You don't have to list them down, you could just think of them, while shampoo-ing your hair, LOL. I love Ma'am Ginny! :)
The world is a reflection of ourselves. When we hate ourselves, we hate everybody else. When we love being who we are, the rest of the world is wonderful.
Our self-image is the blueprint which determines exactly how we will behave, who we will mix with, what we will try and what we will avoid; our every thought and every action stem from the way we see ourselves.
The picture we have of ourselves is colored by our experiences, our successes and failures, the thoughts we have had about ourselves and other people's reactions to us. Believing this image to be fort, we proceed to live absolutely within the bounds of this picture.
Therefore, our self-image determines (1) how much we like the world and how much we like being in it and (2) exactly how much we will accomplish in life.
